Hm...is it just me, or should you have posted about this a few days ago? Also, a Local Area Network isn't internet. That's how we play Starcraft/Warcraft and all that other RTS-BS we do.
Unless they named a wireless network LAN... In which case... Disregard that I suck cocks.

Ryan, I think I can officially say that your computer could not be any worse off without making my bread turn brown.
More or less I really think some time you're free you should really let me look at it before it's too late.
And what took you so long to post that anyway?
And Marshall, what his computer is referring to is the LAN port on the side of the computer, this is how he would connect to the internet, if not for wireless, much how you connect to the internet through a LAN port as well. The link layer of the internet is one of the most confusing and ad-hoc.
And Ryan, what your computer is saying is that you have a 100BASE-T ethernet port on your computer and if plugged in the max signal rate is 100 Mbps. Your wireless will naturally be lower because wireless rates don't get that high, as well as most wireless cards in laptops throttle down the speed to conserve power and generate less heat when you're not using all the bandwidth. This is fine because internet speeds will rarely achieve more than 10 Mbps consistent throughput, which is pretty fast.

Ahhh, ok. I was confused because I would swear I'd registered a connection of exactly 100mbps at the library the other day.
It took me so long to post that because, frankly, it took me some time to actually get around to doing it. My guest account is still working fine, although it is a little annoying not being able to access old papers and whatnot.
I agree that it would be nice to have you have a look at it. You planning on heading to Justin's this weekend? As per my post on the calandar page, I'll be "available" this weekend. I'm starting to think that I might actually have to run recovery, but it'd be nice to get a third opinion prior to that (and to help me save relevant data, if possible).

So is stuff happening at Marshall's or Justins this weekend?

Justin, Justin, Justin...if Civ 4 is anything like Civ 1 or 2, there's no need to compromise on children's card games! Just play with someone else when it's not your turn =p

Well, Idk if I posted this in a previous doo-dad, anywho.
A person at work was wondering if there's any hope for her computer. Nothing is wrong with it, except it being a Toshiba Satellite, and being the lowest of the low quality. She was wondering if there is any way to upgrade parts for her computer to atleast try WoW out at the lowest settings on it.
From what Snakoo said, because he used to have one, is that she should just get a new laptop.
Thoughts?
As well, she wants to some day AND I QUOTE "Learn how to play DnD" Which would prolly be a Xander or Ryan thing, me thinks....

Laptops are typically (as is 99%) not upgradeable beyond RAM, and in this day and age, RAM means almost nothing.
I'd tell her to buy a desktop next time if she wants to play games. =D
And you sound like you talk to this girl a bit, could you have some workplace romance?

She'd be needing a laptop, cause she plans on using it for school stuff, unlike myself.
And hahahahhaha.... No. She's just a Orchestra(?) Nerd / Geek

Don't make me get out the one thousand and three reasons why you don't need a laptop for college.
And she sounds nice, are you laughing because she's ugly?

Xander, don't get into the topic of women with me, because we both know I fail at that topic, lol. No, she's not ugly, or anything negative, idk how to word it >.<
Would you still suggest a desktop for someone who would be planning on living in dorms (I think she is planning that anyways)

DISCLAIMER TO CHILDREN: The computer world is a very scary place, and I suggest you run far away from any computer you see and tell an adult so they can destroy it with a large hammer.
