so much on having fun lol, i tried to roll my "beatdown deck" , yes i have knowledge of yugioh decks now lol, and got rolled left and right with these new decks(beast glad,blackwing,ect ect.....i lost first couple rounds, got lucky last couple......went 2-3, last win was because the other guy left XD

but they have a tournament again this wendsdayk, i'm attend just to see the diff decks......tons of people hope i get to trade some cards and get cards i need as well.........and how come "justin" is only person posting here lol.....i thought "alot" of you guys play?

Anywho, I might go sunday, though I have no clue where it is... Cambridge is too far away for meh, though, I could always just go to outpost....

Remember when Raigeki and Harpie's Feather Duster and Dark Hole were legal?

At least now you have to combo a few cards.

new decks are "cheap" like owning but they are not "cheap" on the bank i tell ya, trying to make a "new" deck is harder then i thought

sunday tournament = very competative, its for a whole BOX of boosters so there is alot of people, at lan world gaming, i had to find this out the hard way

Lots of us play Yu-Gi-Oh, but not many of us can/do play competatively. I, for example, have not purchased a Yu-Gi-Oh (or magic) booster pack in years. I can survive relatively well in casual play, but I know quite well that I have absolutely no hope in any kind of competative atmosphere.

EDIT: However, if you were to find a booster draft competition for Magic/Yu-Gi-Oh, I'd go to that. At least then I'd be on the same level as everyone else to begin with.

I'm not sure that they doing anything like that for yugioh, maybe magic?
but its not hard to get competitive with yugioh. You just need the right mind set. Think to yourself your a freaking pro and everyone else are NEWBS!!!! and its not hard to get up to date with decks/builds either. GOOGLE ftw lol

And guys, Outpost had lots of sealed play events all the time, like every other week, for magic anyways. Yu-Gi-Oh sealed play is kinda rare because it's not really legal/sanctioned, at least as far as I know.

May not be sanctioned, but I think that would be fun as hell, worst case scenario, everyone buys a structure deck and plays. Structure deck and maybe a pack or 2?

Well Ben what I was referring to was limited play, meaning you get X amount of boosters to make a deck out of, but the problems with that and Yu-Gi-Oh are obvious.

well yeah, cause you know how makers of yugioh are, they won't include more than two types in a pack series, and it would be a shitty ass deck.... Hence structure deck + a pack or 2 idea.

No, you've got the jist of it Ben. Yu-Gi-Oh booster packs just don't play well together.

Yeah, that's the problem, they like to short print the structure decks, and make some of them good, others not so good, and boosters were not made in consideration for limited play, unlike Magic which is made which limited play in mind, as well as constructed.

More or less Yu-Gi-Oh limited play would be obnoxious in more ways than one, since you'd need to track down enough structure decks for people to play with, and they'd have to be different since if everyone had the same basic deck it'd be stupid, and then people would have to research what boosters have cards for what structure deck, and then the supplier would actually have to have a decent amount of selection in the boosters to make it worthwhile.

I think it wouldn't be fun at all really, either on the supply or demand end, there's simply too many barriers involved in making it happen, and then the cards barely would even end up working together, making decks not fun to play making for a fail fest, not to mention because of limited selection, players would naturally migrate to a certain types, making variety basically more dead than in constructed.

Needless to say Yu-Gi-Oh prolly shouldn't be played in a limited or sealed format, it just doesn't work.

And that's my ramble for today.

yah yugioh packs aren't really well packed for making decks its all about SINGLES!!!!! and look at my trade/buy/sell plz i'm LF cards and its been hard to find
