I walk up the deck and pick it up, taking a look at the top card as I have seen others do.

Well, that's a lovely specimen now isn't it.

I start shuffling my deck.

Normally I'd insist on cutting your deck, but this giant holo-stadium is quite conveniently in the way; I wonder what Kaiba-Corp was thinking.

I set the deck down and draw five cards.

You may have the honor of the first play.

(so you know my internet is down till this weekend... so my posts may be delayed...)

Alright i shall take your honor... DRAW

First i play Toon Gemini Elf in attack mode!



Next i activate the spell Domino Effect!



I also Place 2 cards face down...

This card allows me to take direct damage instead of allowing your monsters to attack my monsters... But i will not activate its effect right now...

I also activate my other face down, Life Absorbing machine



Now whenever i sacrifice life points on the turn after i do i regain half of those life points.

I activate Toon world



Which allows me to summon my more powerful toon monsters to the feild.

I sacrifice toon gemeni elves to summon Toon Dark magician girl (let the fan service begin)



And i will attack your life points directly...

i also place 1 card face down and a monster card in defense mode...

Hehe, nobody ever listens to Tim until it's too late. Harmless little bunny...I mean, Blade Rabbit switches to defense mode, and destroys your toon dark magician girl. Now I can sacrifice my Nimble Momonga to summon Manticore of Darkness.

yeah this thread just kindda stopped though i rather enjoyed posting in it...

(no I really have no idea where we left off at, or what I have facedown or in my hand already. I think it's something like 1 card held, 2 cards facedown. If you are interested enough to post your next turn, I'll read back on my notes and figure out what's what.

EDIT: That's how we should do it next time! Make a list of the card order of our deck (up to, say, the first 15-20 cards) before the game and stick to it. That way, we don't automatically come up with counters to our opponent's moves (barring, of course, general courtesy and such). Well, at least, that's what I'm likely to try.

I'd be up for trying another duel, Justin, but i can't guarantee that I'll be at the top of my game. It's been a long time since I've seen any new cards, and the wiki is just a pain in the neck to have to use (and slow as molasses in January). How would we be running it? Impromptu? Set order? Random draw (using a dice roller randomizer)?

Well, you could always manually exclude duplicate numbers (re-roll dead numbers) but that would get difficult fast. Alternatively, you could make a die 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc. all the way up to 40, and simply have the ranks slide down as you go.

So, on the first turn, you'd need a hand of 5 cards from a 40 card deck. For the first roll, roll a 40-sided die, then a 39-sided die, then a 38 sided die, etc. the randomizer will be able to handle it even if physical dice couldn't. I'll admit, it's complicated though, so impromptu would work as well.

Whichever. I'll get back to you when I have something to work with (namely, a deck idea that hasn't been done over and over).
