If I knew how to put my desktop on here I would totally show you guys because guarantee it beats all of your guys' desktops!

So I'll tell you:

Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard when you're looking at your desktop (it's way up in the left hand side above the Insert and Home keys).
This copies the image to your clipboard.
Open up your favorite image manipulation program, be it GIMP, Photoshop, even Paint will do; then paste the image into the program.
In Paint, just go to Edit>Paste, in GIMP go to File>Acquire From Clipboard.
Save the file somewhere and there ya go.

Now everyone has no excuse to post their desktops.

Doesn't photobucket require an E-mail from you? I'm not in the habit of giving out my E-mail unless absolutely necessary. The lack of a home phone has kept those acursed telemarketers away, but I still don't need any spam mail (and don't try to tell me that such and such a site won't send it to me, I don't buy it. Either they will do it, or they'll sell your information to someone who will. This kind of paranoia only comes when one actually reads the online contracts one agrees to by the way).

Well if you have a modern mail service such as gmail, spam isn't a problem. And rarely does giving your e-mail to websites result in more spam, most spamming these days rely on different technique, mainly spamming every possible e-mail address. So avoiding it is impossible even by hermiting.

Then I must in turn spam the spammers! How much junk mail per minute do you think it would take to crash the average corporate computer? Just an innocent question.

There was a program that did that, I think it was SpamAssassin, it sent back the spam you got and deleted it before you got it in your mailbox. Pretty extreme if you ask me.

Oh really, you don't wanna get into that, usually it's about 1.84467441 × 10¹⁹ e-mails for a good corporate enterprise level system. Even then they may have counter measures in place to render that attack useless from many angles.

Dang. Is that program legal? I seem to remember that there was some hardcore telemarketer blocking software that ended up sadly outlawed.

Becca, if you have the FN key, check the Ins button, and it might have the print screen button too...

It's easy, you don't.

Why: because Microsoft doesn't want you to install them and half the sites with downloadable Windows themes are virus/spyware/adware hideouts and because all themes not made by Microsoft suck amazingly in the coding department, making your computer run slower.

But you can still do it if want, if I remember correctly you just have to place some files in somewhere in the windows folder and it shows up on the theme thingy, something like that.

But really, if you want changeable Themes, get Linux or something.

Blahh, I just got bored and made a new wallpaper:



It actually wasn't originally a wallpaper. It was the beginnings of an idea for a homework assignment. The giant 11" x 17" 300 dpi image looks much nicer. Hell, even the actual wallpaper looks nicer. Some of the texture got lost when scaling down the screen shot, so it makes the dark patterned bits look kinda strange. Ah well. You guys get the gist of it.
